Maliko here I come
After reading Jonathan and Dave's Excellent Adventure Maliko run & Aussiewahine Maui to Molokai Run + speaking with Donna & Mark Raaphorts by phone the other day telling me Maliko has been nuking I couldn’t help myself I went & saw Michael at Meridian Travel & booked me a return ticket Coolangatta - Maui for July. I can’t wait I‘ll be picking my brand new custom SIC F-16 = 17‘6‘’ when I‘m JOJ “Just off da Jet“, if you’re into Downwind Paddling & want the ultimate Downwind SUP Paddling conditions you have got to be on Maui in July so many SUP paddlers are there this time of year its unreal to be in the vibe.
There’s SUP races very weekend.
Sunday, July 4 Independence Day Race
Saturday, July 10 Cline Mann Memorial
Sunday, July 11 Maui to Molokai (Pailolo Express Race)
Sunday, July 18 Maui International Paddleboard Race
Sunday, July 25 Molokai Channel Race
There’s about 11 Australian Paddling SUP’s that I know of that will the there in July & are all staying at the Maui Seaside Hotel on Kahului Harbour or close by.
Paul & Angie Jackson - Naish
Woogie Marsh - Naish
Alison - Naish
Jazz - Naish
Steve - Naish
Jenny Ryan - SIC
Phil Gregory - SIC
Mark Huxley - SIC
Simon Dodd - C4
Stewart Pinn - SIC
If there are any more Aussie SUPers coming to Maui be great to see you there.
I know out of this group Woogie & myself are the only two that have paddled Maliko so I’m really looking forward to seeing the look on their faces - I guarantee they’ll have a grin from ear to ear.
